Whiskey Point, Mill Bay

I visited an artist friend, who hosted a summer plein air painting session at her home at Whiskey Point on Mill Bay. Below her home and studio, there’s a lovely curve of cobble beach, where I sat with others and sketched this view. Originally, there were kayaks pulled up on shore but they left while I was sketching. Because this day was also a social gathering, I took the sketch home and eventually painted it at home as this watercolour with its sole kayak.
