Field Day

This painting is a view of an artist friend’s llama fields, just off Herd Road in the Cowichan Valley. Unfortunately, the llamas walked out of my view on the day I did the thumbnail sketch for it, so weren’t captured. While the tiny sketch worked as inspiration for my painting, it didn’t have a lot of information recorded so, like most artists and because I had no photo to reference either, I took some artistic license.
