Beach Day

This painting is not of a particular place except to say it’s representative of the beaches just south of Tofino. In it, I wanted to capture the swirl of water captured in those shallow pools as distinct from the colder, deeper waters offshore. Wading in these warmer pools is a delightful contrast and relief, when walking in bare feet from the much colder zone of breaking waves.
