This ’plein air’ painting was the result of a great day at the Maple Bay Marina at Bird’s Eye Cove in the Cowichan Valley. I enjoyed not only the natural views of Chisholm Island, the small island that represents the ‘eye’ in Bird’s Eye Cove, but I also enjoyed the many pleasant people, who engaged me in small conversations as they went about their boat chores and houseboat comings-and-goings.
