Sail Away Day

My aim with this painting was to create a serene, calming image, enhanced by the cool colours of violet, blue and subtle soft green. Its subject is the direct influence of my location, living on British Columbia's west coast and, in particular, at Maple Bay. Painting on a non-absorbent paper ensured its loose, flowing effect.
