Barkley Sound Summer

Barkley Sound, located off the west coast of Vancouver Island, encompasses the Broken Group Islands in Pacific Rim National Park; the Sound is also the ocean entrance to the more inland Port Alberni.

This painting is not of an exact location but of remembered images and feelings. I was just playing at painting coastal islands. When complete, I knew that for me it was of Barkley Sound in summer light.
