8" x 10" watercolour on 140# Arches cold-pressed paper
If you live in the Cowichan Valley, you should join one of the many hiking groups. Mount Prevost is a favourite hiking destination. There is a tall, white memorial cairn at the top, which can be seen from most places in the Cowichan Valley. From the top, you have a spectacular view of the City of Duncan, Somenos and Quamichan lakes and out across Cowichan Bay to Salt Spring Island. Once there, you may even see hand gliders launching themselves from the high bluffs of the mountain—a thrill for sure but not for me!
