11" x 14" watercolour on 300# Arches cold-pressed paper
Unfortunately, there has been a lot of wild fires in British Columbia during the summer of 2017. Even though I live on Vancouver Island, many hundreds of kilometres away from the fires, outflow winds have brought large plumes of smoke out to the west coast and across the Island. A result has been much redder sunsets than usual and inspiration for this painting.
