24" x 36" original acrylic on canvas (SOLD)
During the mid to late 1960s, I worked as a waitress at the original Wickaninnish Inn, then located at the south end of Wickaninnish Bay. I lived in a cabin called the “Old Lodge”, just a few steps south of the Inn. That rustic cabin was one of a number used for staff housing and looked out at the view of this painting. Every morning, I could step directly onto the sandy beach and would often take the trail, south to Lismer Bay, or walk the beach, north, to the sand dunes seen in the distance.
