Red-Tailed Hawk

I was walking the dyke that wraps around the corn fields and lowlands off Cowichan Bay Road when I came upon this hawk. It took my breath away, being so close. Just as suddenly as my noticing it, it flew off, long and low over the fields. It was an awesome sight in its silent stealth.
