8" x 10" watercolour on 140# Arches cold-pressed paper (Sold)
I spent many years living near the wide open expanse of Pacific Ocean shoreline. While there are fewer now, berms of buried and scattered drift logs were a common feature of beaches. I suppose they were the remains of the forest industry’s marine transport of logs, now too valuable to be left strewn on the shore; hence, I’ve named this painting “Pick Up Sticks” to symbolize the salvaging of these wayward logs.
