Pending Weather

At first I thought I should call this painting ‘serenity’ as that is the feeling it gave me with the still water. But overall I felt the mood of the sky dominated, suggesting that, while the dawn was rosy and uplifting, there was some weather pending that could move the day toward more excitement and bluster.
