Just Add Water

This 18” x 24” oil painting began as a small plein air pencil sketch done in an artist friend’s yard last August. I didn’t realize then that I’d take the next step and develop it into a painting; although, it ended up taking me considerably longer than I’d anticipated. Still, I enjoyed the very different subject matter than my more usual landscapes. Strangely, one unexpected challenge was naming it! I had about ten possible names in mind and finally decided on “Just Add Water”.
