8" x 10" watercolour on 140# Arches cold-pressed paper
There is a trail along the top of the dike at Cowichan Bay that is popular with birdwatchers and dog-walkers. It follows a delta tributary of the Cowichan River on one side and the edges of picturesque working farms and cornfields on the other. If you walk to the trail’s end, there is an elevated platform for viewing the bay and estuary. This painting is of the view about halfway along the trail, with the river at your back.
