Bleeding Hearts

I have a shady yard that is ideal for bleeding hearts, which fortunately bloom before our dry, hot summers but, unfortunately, also don’t last long enough, those delicate hearts passing too fast. Even so, I love their nodding strings of pink hearts and lacey gray-green foliage, until they fade away only to renew their delight again next spring.
