24 x 24" acrylic on canvas
During these worrisome times of pandemic and aggressions, I seek subjects of serenity and simplicity to find some comfort and balance. Painting the shores of Vancouver Island is always a welcome balm. Who has not sat silently before a coastal sunset, witnessing the embers of the passing day and pondering the next? Silent silhouettes, with night closing in, remind me not only of the majesty of our natural world but also—with hope and care—of better days to come.
