9 x 12 watercolour on 74# Yupo synthetic paper SOLD
A “Hay Day” is literally a day of harvesting hay but can also mean a time of high spirits and bounty. This latter meaning seems appropriate when looking out over the expanse of productive Cowichan Valley fields and vineyards. This painting plays with the somewhat slippery, non-absorbent surface of synthetic paper to suggest working fields as they shift toward the heat of summer harvests.
