Wave Study I

I love to look out on the ocean, watching the waves folding over, hearing the rumble and roar as they reach the shore, and smelling the ozone of fractured crests and tide line detritus. Doing a wave study is always soothing, calming, and reminds me of so much time I’ve spent along coastal beaches. I feel blessed to have this west coast life and the time to share it in paintings.
