Herd Road Flooded Fields

10" x 14" original watercolour on 300# Arches cold-pressed paper (Sold)

So many times I’ve driven down Herd Road and thought: I really must stop and capture the pastures and farmlands here. Not only are they beautiful, farmlands are of key importance to the Cowichan Valley for sustaining agriculture on Vancouver Island. I particularly love this view, between Maple Bay and the turn-off to Crofton, when its fields are flooded.
